Baked Cheese Crisps

Sometimes carrot sticks and celery sticks just aren’t going to cut it. The great thing about baked cheese crisps is that you can customize them to your liking and change your recipe each time with a new cheese flavor and and adding some spices. You can make them a fat free or low fat snack based on the cheese you choose and now you have a guilt free snack too!

Baked Parmesan Cheese Crisps

Ingredients:
  • freshly grated cheese ( I used fresh parmesan)
  • spices (I used dried basil)
  • parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; NOT aluminum foil…it must be parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet. Anything else and you will have a very hard time getting your cheese crisps off in one piece.

Mix together your cheese and spices.

My favorite combinations are parmesan and basil, mexican cheese and chili powder, and cheddar with ranch dressing mix.

Spoon about a teaspoon of cheese onto your parchment paper into a ball. Put about 2″ between your clumps as the cheese will spread out while cooking.

Bake for 5-7 minutes or until the edges of your crisps turn golden brown. Pull from the oven and let cool.

Serve plain or with a tasty artichoke dip!

Enjoy :)
