The Butterfinger is one of my favorite candy bars that I never think to buy anymore…one because I am training to run a half marathon, two because I don’t need the sugar and three, well…does there need to be a three? I was in line at the grocery store and saw one beckoning me. I was proud that I had the will power to leave it be but it got me thinking. How can I make this into a cocktail? I’d much rather drink my calories. Check this one out…
The Butterfinger Cocktail
- 1 1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps
- 1 1/2 oz Baileys Irish Cream
- 6 oz (3/4 cup) milk
Fill a highball glass (or a pint glass if you don’t have a highball glass) with ice. In a shaker combine your butterscotch schnapps, Baileys and milk. Shake until mixed and pour over ice.
Trust me this recipe tastes exactly like a Butterfinger candy bar and the best part is you can make it low fat with your choice of milk. Use non fat or 1 % for fewer calories!
