Tomorrow is Reagan’s second birthday party! I’m not sure who is excited more…me or her! It’s so much more fun this year knowing that she understands a whole lot more of what is happening. You tell Reagan all about her party and she struts around screaming “I’m gonna be two!” She has it…birthday party fever!
Brian and I went shopping for the last few odds and ends for the party while Reagan was at daycare yesterday. One of those items happened to be a helium tank so we could blow up her party balloons. What do you think was the first thing Rey saw when she got home and walked in the back door? The helium tank!
Reagan’s 1st Birthday
“Balloons!” she exclaimed to no one. “I want balloons! Happy birthday.” We may have to pull the Alice in Neverland tea party trick and have a Very Merry UnBirthday for the next month or so. Thankfully for Reagan her party is Saturday but her actual birthday is Monday and we get to sing to her all over again and more than likely have leftover birthday cake that we can stick a candle in and she can go crazy! She will get to play with all her new gifts that she will no doubt get tomorrow as not only do grandparents love to spoil but friends are so excited to get her fun new items like puzzles, coloring books and dress up clothes!
Last night I blew up a couple of balloons that come with the tank and threw some string around it! After my post yesterday, Give the Girl A Balloon, you know why I blew up a couple. The kid loves balloons and it kept her busy for hours last night while she played and sang Happy Birthday and had a merry time.
I can’t believe my little girl is going to be two! It goes by so fast I can hardly stand it. One minute I’m wishing she would speak her first word, now I’m wishing she would ask someone else “what’s that? or I want some!” But for now I relish in the fact that she is going to have an amazing birthday party surrounded by family and friends. Eat, drink and be merry! That’s our motto for this weekend! Happy Birthday party Reagan!

I remember the day you delivered your precious one and the joy on your and Brian's face when I came to visit at the hospital. I never saw prouder more joyous parents. Maybe when they truly are a gift you appreciate all the joys so much more.
