Fly On The Wall {Round Two}

Have you ever thought about what people might think if they saw what goes on behind-the-scenes at your house? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to catch a glimpse of someone else’s daily life? Here’s your chance.

Today 12 bloggers are inviting you into their homes to be a Fly on the Wall. Some, like me, are inviting you for Round Two!

If you missed my first post you can read about it HERE

Welcome inside the home of Raising Reagan ~

“Mama, where’d Pia go?” She searches frantically for Pia, her magical elf that visits her everyday. “Go find her honey, I’m sure she’s not far.” The two year old leaps like a gazelle off her really tall bed and goes bounding down the stairs. “Pia! Pia! Where are you? Mommy, there…there she is!” Reagan spots Pia on top of the entertainment center. “What is she doing mommy?” a curious Rey asks.

“Looks like she’s taking a bath honey.”

“Pia’s dirty! Water too hot Pia? No, ok. Enjoy your bath,” Reagan says to Pia. Did my daughter just ask her elf if the water was too hot? How cute is that?

Today is Christmas present wrapping day. We are rocking out to Christmas music, enjoying the glow of the Christmas Tree lights and being a family. But first Reagan and Brian are going to have a little bit of fun with the rocking horse! You can only imagine that once daddy sat on it Reagan was not going to have much more of that!

Reagan decides that she is better suited to wrap all her toys and babies in wrapping paper. And..if she can pull it off, herself! Once she dumped all the bows and wrap out of the plastic container she tried with all her might to stuff herself in. She nearly succeeded. I was super impressed.

Finally the tree has some presents underneath it and it doesn’t look so bare! But…there is still shopping to do. And a large pastel kitchen to build. Hubby’s not very excited about that task come Christmas Eve but Reagan is going to be thrilled!

After the presents are wrapped and we’ve had it with the Christmas music we have dinner!

Slow roasted Spicy Pork Sliders

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs boneless pork loin
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup honey
1 package Slow Roasters Pork Seasoning Mix
1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls

Directions:

Place all ingredients (minus the rolls) into a crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or once pork is at internal temperature of 165 degrees, pull apart using a couple forks. Mix pork in with the sauce in the crock pot until thoroughly coated. Serve on King’s Hawaiian rolls and Enjoy :)

At the end of the day we settle in to watch a favorite Christmas movie.

Today has been a good day!

That is just too cute. How often do we get to be impressed by a child trying to stuff herself into a container, LOL. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!

  3. I just love seeing what goes on behind the scenes in people's real life cause I'm nosey like that :) Love that little Pia!

    • Haha ~ Thanks Ruth … There are sure to be some good posts this go around. I wanted to make mine funny like last time but I killed the fly at the end so I couldn't write it from the fly's perspective. Oh well…

  4. Sounds like Reagan was trying to get herself under the tree by stuffing herself into the container. Add a bow, super cute Christmas kiddo. :-) Funny!

  5. Wrapping paper, bows and a little girl. That is an excellent combination. Your home looks like it's full of love.. Have a beautiful holiday, Lanaya!

    • Thanks Michele ~ We try…I figured this go around I would share a good day! The last fly post had some people concerned I was full of anger issues and hostility!! LOL

  6. How cute is she! I love her imagination. :)

  7. Your tree looks great and I love that you were letting Reagan play with the wrapping paper. You are learning to let go. Have a wonderful Christmas!!!

  8. Awe I could just imagine you guys having such a fun day together! I want my hubby to help me wrap gifts :) Except I need to wrap his first…trying to finally surprise him this year lol. Reagan's adorable! And those pork sliders…need to make them. And Elf…one of my faves :)
My recent post cans for comments success!

    • Yep…they were pretty good. The key to the pork sliders though was the King’s Hawaiian Bread ~ that stuff is like crack. Not that I know what crack is like but I can imagine!

  10. wow!! A lovely kitchen….sounds so exciting!!

  11. That is it, I must plan a trip to California! I need to meet Reagan, she seems so spunky and adorable!

  12. I can only imagine the how "ticked" Reagan most have been when she saw her dad on the rocking horse. Very funny. I remember when my husband put together my daughter's kitchen on Christmas Eve, he wasn't too excited about it either, but to see her face on Christmas morning was absolutely priceless.

  13. Love your fly on the wall posts. Reagan is too cute!

  14. It does sound like it was a good day! Those play kitchens are a bear to put together but they last for years. We upgraded this year (my son's had a little one for a few years and he STILL plays w/it), so my hubby's going to be in assemble mode here pretty soon too. ;)

That is beautiful! There is no such thing as wrapping presents in this house anymore…we just hand the bag over…we're too lazy……which is kinda sad…really…but oh well..at least i can live it through families like yours! Thanks for letting me be a fly on your wall!
