Your risk for breast cancer doubles when your mother, sister, or daughter is diagnosed with the affliction.  If more than one family member has suffered from breast cancer, your risk is tripled.  If this is the case, you should begin getting yearly mammograms at age 30.

Maintain a healthy weight and stay active

This is not to suggest that women in their 20s and 30s should obsess about their weight, but that a few extra pounds can slightly increase your risk.  The most important concept to incorporate into your lifestyle is a regular, healthy diet.
