Yesterday Brian brought Reagan home from the doctor after she had 102 fever for two days straight and stopped eating and drinking. The bad news…Hand, Foot and Mouth disease! An untreatable disease in which children under the age of 5 are most prone to getting.
Ever since we’ve gotten her new Fold It & Go Wagon she has been obsessed…demanding to go the park and get outdoors because she gets to ride around in style with a shade cover to protect her from the sun and has her own designated pockets for her juice cup.
Education for our children starts from home! We become the primary means that our children learn their social cues and development. Today it seems like our youth are finding more and more of their learned behaviors from video games and television. Almost too often it seems we are so busy and caught up in our lives that we forget that it is our job to shape and mold our children for a better society.
“Honey…who is Elmo?” She’s pointing furiously at the iPad and demanding Elmo. Yes, it’s true. My iPad has now become the property of my 20 month old child and been nicknamed Elmo; mostly due to the apps on there where Elmo teaches her about ABC’s and 123’s.
